I cannot remember a time when I was not doing hand work and making something.
My grandmother started the ball rolling but my love of bear and other creatures came
when I attended a class with Sandra-Kay Murphy many years ago.
My introduction to bear making came in the early 2000s. It was love at first
cut working with mohair and while my first teddy was not perfection it was the motivation to continue and begin designing my own teddies.
I now design bears along with other unusual critters.
They are all original designs and individually machined or hand sewn. I use a variety of
high quality fabrics including English and German mohair, viscose, antique fabrics
and German synthetic furs. All creations have either glass or antique boot button
eyes.
Most of my creations are one of a kind.
My aim for this year is to post at least one creature for sale every 2-3 months but with 6 current jobs this may be stretching it a little.
Please take a look at my designs

Revisited Bear Club today and it was great to see the girls again and catch up on what they had been doing.
Sad to see the end of Bear Club at Bear Mania this year but all good things come to an end.
Busy, busy trying to organize once again my life.... what with 5 jobs, busy social life and trying to fit in bear making.... just doesn't happen sometimes
Going to make more of an effort with beary making and cloth dollies next year
A new start.... a new beginning....... exciting
Post again sooner than the last

OMG
Has it really been May last year since I last posted!!!!
ooops, my bad!!
Well things have been a little crazy here with me doing 3 or 4 jobs at one time!
I have been trying to restore an old car, a 1969 Triumph and this is proving to be a challenge, the more you look the more you find..hahahaSo I am soooo thrilled to be driving it! Still getting used to it!
Christmas.....well it has come and gone already and we are now almost through January 2012
LOL
Looking at starting quilting this year......missed one opportunity due to the dreaded flu...
Many projects still to be completed this year...... more procrastination......and still looking at buying extra fur to make even more creatures
Aiming at travelling more this year....again with the procrastination....this is my mantra for every year and it never eventuates!
Now with Easter just around the corner....in case I don't get a chance to get back on...

Thank you to all my followers, it is lovely to have you on board, please post comments and let me know what you are working on
Tip for putting glass beads into bears and animals - place the glass beads into a clean sauce bottle and insert the bottle into the opening gradually tipping the bottle up, this stops excessive spill and allows greater control, then just screw cap back on bottle.

Old man winter will just not let go........it's been a cold week but I'm hoping for warmer weather and some sunshine next week!!
So what can I do? I've been amusing myself by looking at some of the works of Lori Ann Corelis ...... so talented and hoping for inspiration.
Till Next Time...... been a good week here thus far.
The fur is flying.......hope your bears and beasties are coming together nicely.
